Artist Bio

The Kumaran Selection is a brand-new jazz trio in Edmonton, made up of three students of MacEwan University’s music program. The band features the melodious playing of Ryan Simmons on guitar, the eclectic artistic skills of Colin Campbell on the upright bass, and the no nonsense rhythmic roundedness and band leadership of James Kumaran. With the goal of spreading their unique blend of modern and traditional Jazz Music all over the city of Edmonton, the Kumaran Selection is happy to have their debut performance at The Carrot!
