Evan Westfal

Evan Westfal is a Canadian based singer-songwriter, actor, and vocal instructor. His music has been described as “playful,” “intellectual,” and “hella gay!” He is based out of Edmonton, Alberta, and he consistently includes LGBTQ+ themes in his music. Evan’s inaugural EP ‘Gay Pirates’ is compository experiences of exaltations and lamentations of a very gay love. The album has received international radio play as far as Melbourne, Cologne, and Barcelona. Westfal is no stranger to the stage, having retained a bevy of performance credits. He is most proud of his work singing backing vocals for Josh Groban. Additionally, Evan has performed as Sir Joseph Porter in H.M.S. Pinafore (Opera Nuova), as Captain Hammer in the Canadian stage premiere of Dr. Horrible (Broadway West), as well as Chorus work in La Boheme, Aida and Tales of Hoffman (Edmonton Opera). When he isn’t performing in opera or musical theatre, Evan enjoys singing his original works. Evan has played as an opener for Sasha Velour and Shea Coulee (Pure Pride), as well as the Canada Pride Conference (2022), Make Music YEG (2022), Chalk It Up (2022), Edmonton Pride Festival (2017 & 2016). Evan maintains a vocal studio in his home and at the MacEwan Conservatory of Music.
