Rhonda Young
Our July Gallery features the incredible works of Rhonda Young.
Artist Bio
I observe plants around me and record their vitality through line, colour & composition. I feel an energy from plants and try to convey that energy. I have maintained a regular meditative observational ink drawing and watercolor practice of plants for approximately 15 years. I received an extensive art education, particularly in blind contour drawing, when I was a child at the Edmonton Art Gallery (now Art Gallery of Alberta) and evening classes for adults offered by the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension and the Art Gallery of Alberta. In 1992 I attended Emily Carr College of Art and Design mono print program in Florence, Italy.
