Artist Bio

Formed of up-and-coming musicians currently studying music at MacEwan University, the Out of Pocket Trio embraces the piano trio setting with a mix of standards and original compositions. Composed of Tae Kim on piano, Chris Larsen on bass, and Tony Flanagan on drums, Out of Pocket seeks to explore the jazz tradition while maintaining a modern sound. 

Influences include the trios of Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett and Hiromi Uehara, which have laid the foundation for Out of Pocket's sound.
